Been a while

Hi All,

It has been a while since my last post and I have a bit to tell. So since my last post I actually crashed my laptop.

I wanted to re-partition my hard drive using the tools that come with Vista. I did manage to free up 50gb. However, when I tried to reallocate this free space, I got an windows error saying that the console was out of date and could not be updated. The recommendation was posted to a place that had no info.
What I then tried was Hiren's boot CD and I was able to find the "lost space". I then got errors when I tried to allocate. After that - it all went bad. I got numerous errors ranging from partition table errors to boot errors and bad sectors.
Lucily, the laptop was 1 week old, I did not have a back-up so a re-install was an easy choice.
Needless to say within a day I was back to normal.
