After a long wait finally Cisco and Microsoft heard the cries from partners and customers and jointly release an interoperability statement.
Both vendors have different UC approaches and many customers are interested and how they work together and what is supported and what not.
The joint statement can be downloaded or seen from these websites: download that statement on the Microsoft site and the same document from the Cisco site.
The scenarios discussed are direct SIP conenction and RCC scenarios. It is always handy to regularly check the inter-operability site for OCS which can be found here: Unified Communications Open Interoperability Program (UCOIP).

Ahead we drive UC
So the past few weeks have been busy and hectic. After attending the UC launch, we had to get things back to normal. Which meant meeting customers and showing them the benefits of the New World of Work. This is always wonderful to do, especially the UC voice features because I think that we all can agree the pure IM & Presence is no biggie. So business has really been taking off in the UC space.
We landed a very large customer with 1000's of users where we will deploy OCS together with the voice scenarios going to a Nortel PBX, release 5, which offers a native SIP conenction to OCS. We will also deliver conferencing which will be leveraged off from the PBX. In addition to this, we will be integrate into Exchange for UM. I cannot wait to get the started.
We are also busy with another customer with 25 000 users plus for Exchange UM. This is a large deployment and this customer wants to achieve the complete UC platform together with OCS. For now, the exchange is going well.
I will be going on leave from next week so this space will be quiote for a short while.
Regards
